The United States-led invasion of Iraq led to the overthrow of the Ba'ath Party and the establishment of a new Iraqi government. The new Iraqi government is a democracy, and it has been led by a series of prime ministers. The current prime minister of Iraq is Mustafa al-Kadhimi.
